2022 Upton Sinclair Homecoming Celebration Wrap Up
Our 2022 Upton Sinclair Homecoming Celebration was a sold out success! After three long years apart, the Liberty Hill community came together like never before to celebrate the progressive victories and visionaries powering progress in L.A.
It was a night of reunions, friendships and fun as more than 750 guests celebrated at the beautiful Skirball Cultural Center. The new event venue played host to a totally revamped and reimagined event this year! From an art and history walk to interactive exhibits and live muralists, this year’s Upton Sinclair Homecoming was an event to remember.
The program featured headlining performances from local legends Ozomatli, who performed fan favorites and songs from their new album—“Non-Stop: Mexico to Jamaica.”
This year’s honorees were an eclectic group—ranging from the Meltzer Sieroty family— a family with a four decade history of philanthropy, who received our Founders Award—to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, recipients of our Visionary Award for corporations who have stepped up for social justice—and long-standing community leader and advocate California Assemblymember Isaac Bryan, our Upton Sinclair Award Honoree and keynote speaker this year.
Check out a few photos from the night’s festivities below. And be sure to follow us on Facebook to view our full event photo album.
We are so grateful to everyone who came out in support of our Upton Sinclair Homecoming event and we look forward to more great events to come in 2022!
Onward to Justice!
