Announcing Our Newly Elected Board of Directors Co-Chair!
Liberty Hill is excited to announce Jon Christensen as the newly elected Co-Chair of our Board of Directors!
Jon has been a member of the Foundation’s Board since 2019, serving on the Fundraising, Investment, and Recruitment committees. In his new position, Jon will help co-lead and support the Board in providing oversight, strategic guidance, and ensuring the Foundation’s long-term success.
In addition to his service on the Board, Jon served on our Community Funding Board and co-founded the Environment + Justice Giving Circle at Liberty Hill. The circle focuses on environmental justice grantmaking to support and invest in leaders and organizations working toward creating a better environment across Los Angeles.
Jon is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of California, Los Angeles where he works within the Institute of Environment and Sustainability, the Department of History, and the Center for Digital Humanities. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles River State Park Partners and on the advisory board of Friends of the Los Angeles River.
