Earlier this month, Liberty Hill's wonderful community of donor activists gathered for the Champions Conversations: Building the Good in Los Angeles event.

At the event, Liberty Hill Board of Directors Co-Chair Jon Christensen led a lively discussion with President & CEO Shane Murphy Goldsmith and Chief Impact Officer Julio Marcial. They shared the exciting outcomes of a year filled with planning and development for the foundation’s vision for the next five years. This plan highlights our strong commitment to our North Star and will help us meet the needs of the moment.

We know there are significant hurdles ahead. But rest assured, Liberty Hill is here for the long fight and together, we will continue to support the vital work of our frontline organizers, pushing for progress in our movement and continuing to build the good in Los Angeles.

As we step into this next chapter of a journey that began nearly 50 years ago at Liberty Hill, we’re thrilled to partner with the philanthropic community and our donor activists to build a lasting infrastructure that supports the ongoing efforts of frontline organizations, building on the momentum of our Agenda for a Just Future victories.

In the coming year, we’ll be sharing more specific updates about our strategies to end youth incarceration, stopping oil drilling and environmental injustices in our neighborhoods, and advocating for tenant protections and housing for all Angelenos.

Thanks to the unwavering support from dedicated donor activists and community partners, we will continue to help frontline organizations and advocates working toward a more just and equitable Los Angeles for everyone.
