In recognition of Earth Day, Liberty Hill invites you to join us as we celebrate the local heroes who have committed themselves to creating a safer, healthier, and greener L.A. for all Angelenos—our Environmental & Climate Justice grantee partners!
These frontline organizations, comprised of local residents and community organizers, have been fighting to end environmental injustices in disadvantaged communities across Los Angeles for decades.
Collectively, they have powered movements to end neighborhood oil drilling in LA County, established “Green Zones” in neighborhoods with high concentrations of air pollutants, conducted county-wide outreach and organizing focused on decreasing the demand for fossil fuels, and helped support the next generation of Environmental & Climate Justice leaders and advocates.
