OUT Fund Night at “A Strange Loop”
Recently, Liberty Hill’s OUT Fund giving circle hosted a special Pride Month event for members, supporters and OUT Fund grantees. Guests were invited to attend a night out at the theater for a showing of the Pulitzer Prize and two-time Tony award-winning musical, “A Strange Loop.”
The OUT Fund Night at “A Strange Loop” is part of the giving circle’s mission to build a community of individuals with diverse backgrounds who are committed to leveraging resources and expertise to make a positive impact in the community.
“As a collective, the OUT Fund leverages resources and unites to affect change,” shared OUT Fund Tri-Chair Wendy Chang. “We bring this to life by acting on our shared values, learning from one another, and having fun by building community!”
Since its founding in 2012, the fund’s focus has been to support organizations and projects that serve Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA) communities throughout Los Angeles County.
OUT Fund has provided over $500,000+ in grants to local organizations including API Equality-LA, FAMILIA: Trans Queer Liberation Movement, Foundation for the AIDS Monument, Gender Justice LA, GSA Network, Immigrant Youth Coalition, The Rainbow Alliance, TransLatin@ Coalition and more. With more than 40 individual projects funded to date, the OUT Fund continues to leverage resources and expertise to make a positive impact in our LGBTQ+ community.
Wendy shared, “The impact the OUT Fund has made in its 12-year history has been profound and we look forward to others joining us to support community-driven solutions.”
