The X Fund Reception
At the recent X Fund Reception, members and grantees came together to celebrate their shared commitment to supporting women, girls, and gender expansive individuals to reach their full potential, strive for economic and reproductive justice, and live free of discrimination and violence. This year’s event also coincided with the X Fund’s 10th anniversary of activism and creating social change in Los Angeles.
The annual gathering was once again hosted at The Getty House and featured inspirational remarks from X Fund committee members, a special welcome from Mayor Karen Bass, and remarks from X Fund grantees. The highlight of the event was hearing from our grantees and the work they're doing.
This year’s grantee partners include Alexandria House, Alliance for Girls, Black Women for Wellness, California Latinas for Reproductive Justice, Garment Worker Center, Positive Results Center, Translatin@ Coalition and Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project. Each grantee received a $15,000 grant this cycle, totaling $120,000!
Since 2014, The X Fund has worked with the donor community to advocate for Gender Justice, providing resources to women-led organizations working at the frontlines of the Gender Justice movement. The X Fund provides support to grantees that directly provide services or promote change through policy reform with a focus on the areas of empowering women, eradicating crimes, and working for equity.
Liberty Hill is grateful for the dedication of the X Fund, its grantees, and the frontline work that they do together. The X Fund looks forward to continuing its collaboration with frontline organizers and advocates, and making a lasting difference in the organizations we support.
