Winter Conferences Focus on Power Building
Earlier this month, members of the Liberty Hill executive team were invited to participate at the 31st Annual Empowerment Congress Summit and the Annual LA Partnership Business Meeting, sharing insight on a cross-section of experiences as stewards of progressive change in Los Angeles.
Senior Vice President of Programs Julio Marcial represented Liberty Hill at the Inclusive Leadership Workshop where he engaged in a community discussion anchored on the Empowerment Congress’ guiding core principles of servant leadership, participatory democracy, intentional civility, and reciprocal accountability. The curated panel shared best practices for addressing challenges and implementing new models of inclusive leadership at the community level.
The LA Partnership for Early Childhood Investment, co-sponsors The Los Angeles County Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion Initiative (ARDI), and SoCal Grantmakers invited Liberty Hill President and CEO Shane Murphy Goldsmith to moderate a special discussion on power building at their annual meeting.
Shane guided the panel of experts through a discussion that explored key strategies for building power to create long-term, sustainable change for both service providers and low-income families across LA County
