"Yes on A” Campaign Launch
With Measure A officially heading to the ballot box this November, Liberty Hill's Housing Justice partners and organizers from across LA showed up and showed out last month for the launch of the “Yes on A” campaign!
Supported by a historic coalition of labor, housing advocates, mental health experts, and community partners, Measure A will ensure more safe streets, more mental health programs, and more affordable housing for all Angelenos.
The innovative measure is backed by a historic coalition of more than 200 community-based organizations and labor groups called The Bold New Way. Liberty Hill Housing Justice grantees and community partners at United Way of Greater Los Angeles, Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance, SAJE, LiBRE, ACEE, LA Voice, Our Future LA and others are among the coalition members that have united behind the measure.
The measure will aim to help tens of thousands of Angelenos living on LA County streets by keeping critical care in place, preventing homelessness from increasing, ensuring funding goes to the most effective services, and building more affordable housing. It does all of the above with an unprecedented level of accountability, with audits and citizen oversight to make sure investments are made in solutions that work.
