Informed by the tactics, principles and analysis of the Brothers, Sons, Selves, Coalition, the case study describes how the Coalition’s approach and key strategies allowed for the policy wins, implementation and replication to improve schools across California. Thanks to the activism, talent, ideas and hard work of the members of the Brothers, Sons, Selves Coalition, L.A. and Long Beach schools have been transformed. Incubated for six years at Liberty Hill Foundation, Brothers, Sons, Selves is now an independent coalition led by anchor organizations who have built the capacity to win.
