Putting A Passion For Justice Into Action
Honoring Liz Levitt Hirsch (1951-2024)
Longtime Liberty Hill Champion Elizabeth “Liz” Levitt Hirsch was a fierce supporter of the arts, community, and social justice. She served as a board president of the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, directing her lifelong passion for the performing arts into a source for positive social change.
With her bubbly personality and warm smile, Liz lit up every room she entered. A past recipient of the Founders Award at our 2018 Upton Sinclair Award Dinner—which is given to individuals whose philanthropy embodies the spirit of “Change, Not Charity”—Liz truly believed that justice begins at home.
Her work to empower communities across Los Angeles through the power of the arts will leave a lasting legacy, and she will remain in our hearts and memories.
Liberty Hill Foundation mourns the loss of these friends of justice:
