Julie Hermelin is the Co-Founder/Co-Executive Director of Gutsy Media and its sister organization, Wake Up & Vote. Gutsy and Wake Up & Vote activate the largest pool of high-level creative talent across entertainment, advertising and digital to create and produce research-driven political and social impact content. Julie is also one of the co-founders/co-chairs of The XX Fund, a women's donor-advised fund through Liberty Hill. In partnership with Creative Visions, she co-founded The Women's Excel Project that pairs emerging female filmmakers with XX Fund grantees to create short impact and fundraising films to help raise further awareness about their work. A Michigan transplant, Julie lives in Los Feliz with her three teenage boys.
