Angel Moreno

My responsibilities are to manage and support all aspects of the employment lifecycle which includes but is not limited to; recruitment, onboarding, talent management, payroll and benefits administration, leaves of absence management, employee relations, and employee wellness and engagement. I am here to create and foster a supportive work environment for my colleagues to be engaged in and thrive.

With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources (14 years at the Los Angeles LGBT Center), I have dedicated my career to driving positive change and creating a supportive, inclusive work environment. My role at the Center included spearheading process improvements, streamlining workflows, and driving technology adoption, all aimed at enhancing efficiency and team performance. 

I took a collaborative approach by gathering feedback from team members, managers, and executive leaders, ensuring their concerns were addressed while facilitating changes in current practices. This approach allowed me to identify and eliminate inefficiencies,  ensuring that organizational improvements aligned with both employee needs and organization goals. Throughout, I worked to secure leadership buy-in, driving the successful implementation of these initiatives.

I was deeply committed to employee well-being, focusing on promoting work-life balance, mental health awareness, and developing wellness programs. I lead initiatives dedicated to celebrating employees, recognizing their achievements, and embracing their unique qualities that brought us together and strengthened our work culture.  

Outside of my professional life, I'm passionate about helping others thrive- whether it's through team sports, hiking with my dog, or volunteering at local shelters.
