Vanessa Gomez
Grant Accountant
Growing up in an immigrant household, I witnessed firsthand the systemic inequalities faced by marginalized communities. These personal experiences drive me to challenge systemic barriers and work towards a society where everyone has equal opportunities and rights.
Vanessa started her career in administrative roles, where she was introduced to accounting and gradually transitioned into the field. With eight years of accounting experience across various industries, Vanessa eventually found her way into the nonprofit sector at Rainbow Services. Where she was hired as a Finance Assistant and later grew into the Grants Accountant role. Her experience includes accounts payable and receivable, payroll and payroll allocations, and grant invoicing. Being part of a mission-driven organization has given her the opportunity to support organizations that make a real difference in the community.
As the Grant Accountant, Vanessa will be supporting the Finance and Accounting team with payroll processing and payroll allocations, and grant invoicing.
